Visiting the Tate
I decided to go to the Tate modern today to try and gain contacts regarding the exhibitions that featured a number of graffiti artist work in 2008. From my enquiry I managed to find out that the curator for the exhibitions was Cedar Lewisjohn , to make contact with him I have had to fill a form out stating my reasons hopefully by doing this I will be able to arrange an interview.
Adding to I also enquired about hosting my own exhibitions, they gave me the necessary data required so I can look into it for future preference .
The receptionist also pointed me in the directions of Tate Shots which features programme made on the graffiti artist that took part in the exhibitions.
Stated from the site:
Tate Modern invited a group of Madrid-based street artists to make work in the streets surrounding the gallery. In this film we follow the artists as they respond to the challenge. With inflatable tongues, modified shop signs and photorealistic spray painting, Banksy it isn’t. You can take a walking tour of the project by picking up a map from the gallery, or downloading a pdf. The tour is part of a bigger exhibition of Street Art at Tate Modern this summer.
