Making contact with Youth Groups:
Through my contact with Giovanna Forte she suggested the best place to start looking for a suitable youth group would be Hackney. Through a quick search I first came across Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton Street, London, N1 6SH (020 7684 0060). Through talking to Hayley White (hayley@hoxtonhall.co.uk) Group director, she seemed very interested in my IPTV channel and explained that the youth group has been sponsored to support an art project featuring graffiti and the urban culture that surrounds it. The will look at hip-hop and political media change around the subject.
She recommended that I could come along to the 6-week workshops between 27th April to 1st June and make documentaries featuring the different skill sets associated with street Art. By doing this there would be time for me to engage with the kids on a regular basis to ask there opinoes on the content of the channel and to get there regular input. I hope by doing this I will create a working relationship with the kids and they will feel confident to make suggestions. I also believe that it will give me a deeper understanding of my audience and there desires.
Adding to this she asked that it would be ok to use the material generated to create a show real of there work to attract sponsors.
The open mic nights where children will talk about what they are learning will be on the 13th April and the 15th June.
If I can think of how to fit this in I think it will give me a strong foundation for the project giving me a regular source of material and consistent views from an ideal audience.
She also mentioned to approach Ravensbourne members of staff from multimedia who are working to produce material for Aim High (Gold Arts Award) again this would provide a key audience for me to engage with.

These are a few more I intend to approach, I have approached Frampton Park youth group who have already said they are interested, however I will have to contact on Monday to see what the situation is.
I have also thought about approaching the local schools in the are to see if they would mind me meeting a group of children/ Adults on a regular basis to discuss the channel.
